Can I get my prescriptions filled at the Health Center at Auraria?
The Health Center at Auraria carries a few prescriptions in house for current patients. If you are prescribed something that the Health Center does not carry an outside prescription will be written for you and can be taken to a pharmacy of your choice.
Can I have my blood drawn at the Health Center at Auraria?
Lab orders can only be completed if ordered by a Health Center at Auraria provider.
Can I get my lab work done at the Health Center at Auraria?
Yes, most labs can be done at the Health Center at Auraria. In the few cases where the Health Center at Auraria cannot draw your labs, an outside order will be given to you to take to an outside lab draw center.
Can I get X-rays at the Health Center at Auraria?
Yes. Your provider will do an initial read, then an outside radiologist will do an over read, which is usually received within 24 hours or sooner. If other imaging (i.e. CT or MRI), is needed, your provider will generate a referral to an outside imaging center.
Can I get a physical at the Health Center at Auraria?
The Health Center at Auraria provides physicals for:
Peace Corps
Uber/ Lyft
The Health Center at Auraria DOES NOT provide physicals for:
CDOT
FAA or any federal agency
Military Disability
Does the Health Center at Auraria offer free STI testing?
Yes. HIV Testing is available at no charge. Any additional STI testing can be billed to insurance or as self-pay service.
Does the Health Center at Auraria offer blood pressure testing?
Yes, you can walk-in for a blood pressure test at no charge. An appointment is not required.
Does the Health Center at Auraria offer flu shots?
Yes, no charge flu shots are available typically in late September and early October.
Does the Health Center at Auraria offer travel vaccines?
The Health Center at Auraria offers travel consultation appointments. If vaccinations or medications are needed to travel this process can take weeks or months to complete so get started early.
Does the Health Center at Auraria offer the yellow fever vaccine?
The Health Center at Auraria does not currently offer the yellow fever vaccine. You can obtain the vaccine at the Denver Public Health Immunization Clinic.
Does the Health Center at Auraria offer the Gardasil (HPV) vaccine?
