We offer a variety of services

The Health Center at Auraria offers Medical Services and Mental Health Services for all AHEC, CCD, MSU Denver and CU Denver students, faculty and staff regardless of their Health Insurance. In addition, Telehealth services are available for a variety of healthcare appointments. From preventative care to acute and chronic care, the Health Center at Auraria provides comprehensive Medical and Mental Health Services. Transgender Care including HRT and Medical and Mental Health Services are also provided. Laboratory, X-rays and on-site medications are available at the Health Center at Auraria. In addition, there are a variety of Specialty Health Services available at the Health Center at Auraria.

Embedded within each appointment is a well check on academic assessment, a program called Academic Vital Signs. If a student expresses academic concerns, they will meet with the Health Center at Auraria’s Academic Referral Coordinator to determine the most appropriate campus resource based on the student’s need.

Transgender Care

The Health Center at Auraria offers healthcare to transgender and gender expansive individuals. Services include Hormone Replacement Therapy, Medical and Mental Health Services. There are two types of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) which are given based on the goal of treatment.


The Health Center at Auraria provides consulting, assessment and testing services for Coronavirus (COVID-19). If you’re interested in these services, please call the Health Center at Auraria at 303-615-9999 to determine the best course of action.


Every flu season, beginning in September/October, the Health Center at Auraria provides free flu vaccinations for Auraria Campus Constituents.  This includes all AHEC, CCD, MSU Denver and CU Denver students, faculty and staff. We encourage you to get your vaccination at your earliest opportunity to get the maximum protection.


The Health Center at Auraria provides rapid HIV testing at no cost. The CDC recommends that everyone between the ages of 13 and 64 be tested for HIV at least once in their lifetime. For individuals with specific risk factors, testing is advised at least once a year.


The Health Center at Auraria offers nutrition consultations with Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) at no charge. The RDNs can support you, provide recommendations and answer your questions whether you’re trying to manage a chronic condition, lose or gain weight, optimize athletic performance or develop a personalized healthy eating routine.


Coordination with Athletic Trainers for musculoskeletal injuries. Patients must be seen and referred by the Health Center at Auraria medical providers. Standard costs apply for medical appointments. If referred to campus Prescriptive Rehabilitation, this service is available at no charge.


Students who have been sexually assaulted can attain services, guidance and intervention by contacting the Health Center at Auraria or the Phoenix Center at Auraria. After meeting with either of these agencies, a student has the option for a forensic evidence-based examination which is provided at no charge. The Health Center has a formalized agreement with Denver Health that provides all students on the Auraria campus direct access to a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) who is trained to perform medical forensic examinations.


The use of tobacco can cause harm to nearly every organ of the body and cause many different diseases. This can also impact people who are close to the smoker. People can easily become addicted to tobacco and it can be very challenging to quit.  These issues not only pertain to traditional tobacco products like cigarettes, cigars and chewing tobacco but also includes Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS) like e-cigarettes, vapes and mods.
